Our Story and Mission

WAPCOS is a central public sector enterprise wholly owned by the Government of India (“GOI”) under the administrative control of the Ministry of Jal Shakti, GOI. We are engaged in engineering consultancy services and construction in the fields of water, power and infrastructure sectors for businesses and communities in India and overseas. Over the last 5 (five) decades, our Company has been providing engineering consultancy services for projects in water, power and infrastructure sectors which have made significant contribution within India and overseas. We along with our Subsidiary are also actively involved in construction business and have undertaken various projects in key sectors in India. Our experience gained through global presence enables us to provide customized solutions to complex and diverse assignments to public and private clients both in India and overseas. We have been conferred with Schedule B Category-I Mini-Ratna status by Department of Public Enterprises.

WAPCOS has been ranked No. 1 by ADB amongst international consultancy firms in Water and other Urban Infrastructure and Services sector with highest sanctioned financed amount for the year 2021 and 2022 as per Annual Procurement Reports published for the respective years. It has also ranked No. 2 amongst Consultants from India involved in Consulting Services Contracts under ADB Loan, Grant and Technical Assistance Projects as per Asian Development Bank Member Fact Sheet for the period 2019-2023. WAPCOS is the only Indian Public Sector Enterprise featuring in these categories.
