Corporate Social Responsibility
Initiatives need to be tied to users and other organisations because an organisation cannot meet its goals unless its employees are working to make the initiative happen and other organisations (and their users) are supporting the effort of the initiative. When initiatives are tied to users and other organisations, they are said to be aligned to them. It is the employees in an organisation that make initiatives succeed. When their performance goals are the same as their organisation's initiatives, and when they meet their performance goals, the organisation's initiatives succeed.
